Art inspired by Kandinsky

Today we looked at pictues of paintings by Wassily Kandinsky.
This is what the children said:

"I can see squares and circles"
"He likes circles"
"I can see a big triangle"
"Its rubbish and scribbly"
"It's good"

"I can see an alien"
"It's curvy"
"It's spidery and a wee bit scary"
"I can see a space rocket"
"It's horrible"
"I like it"

The children gasped at this one - they said it was colourful and nice.
Each child got a square piece of paper and tried painting their own circles. We're going to put them all together to make our own masterpiece!
